Again the Chaos Communication Congresstook place this year between the 27th and 30th december 2019, for which we organized a trip. The 16 participants were able to explore the congress and learn something about its topics, but also were able to explore Leipzig.
Am 6. Juli 2019 fand im Rahmen des Tübinger Linuxtages (TÜBIX) wieder eine kleine Ausgabe der FrogLabs statt. Dabei konnten 27 Kinder und Jugendliche an drei Workshops teilnehmen und den Linuxtag besuchen.
Unfortunately, we had a major service outage for just a bit more than two days due to a hardware failure and too strict security schemes ;).
With a week full of training for teachers and students, the Realschule Boltenheide in Wuppertal finalised the first phase into a complete switch to free and open source software in all areas of the school. This first phase included the installation of Skolelinux (Debian Edu) in the pedagogic network of the school.
Unfortunately, there will be no programme for children in the autumn holidays of 2018, because too few people are available to staff it.
This year again, we got to the Makerfaire in Hannover with a youth group. Our future junior member Anna Weichelt reported.
The FrogLabs at FrOSCon took place in 2018 again, and for the first time with social activities and accomodation at the Jugendzeltplatz (youth camp spot) Bonn.
During spring 2018, Teckids e.V. conducted a survey among 574 students, asking for their use of social media. It was designed by 13 year-old Niels Hradek and 14 year-old Philipp Stahl, conducted by many children in their schools and classes, and evaluated mainly by 11 year-old Tim Valentin.
Teckids e.V. made the second place in 2018's Thomas Krenn Award. With the 2000 € that were won, parts of the infrastructure can be updated.
In February 2018, we visited the FOSDEM as part of our shul-frei programme to, among other things, give two talks. The key players here were Niels Hradek (13 y/o) and Philipp Stahl (14 y/o).
